Kotoko to play ASEC to honour Otumfuo

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will play Ivorian giants and their old foe, Association Sportive des Employés de Commerce Mimosas (ASEC Mimosas) to honour the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

The game which is being organized by Primeval Media Ghana will take place on May 26.

Before the announcement, it was reported that Kotoko was going to play Egyptian club, Arab Contractors and it was later announced that South African giant, Orlando Pirates has agreed to play with Kotoko.

This is the first time the two clubs will be facing each other since 2004 after Kotoko eliminated the Ivorian club from the CAF Confederation Cup.
