The Policy Analyst for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr Yaw Amo “Energy” Sarpong has revealed the Porcupine Warriors from now on will sign only players who will get a call up to their national team.
Speaking on Kessben FM, Energy said the move is a new policy the club is working towards.
On the other hand, if a player does not play for any of the national teams in his country, he must offer something ‘extra’ to the club to help increase his value.
“Per Kotoko’s development agenda”, he said, if you do not fall with any of this, then the club will be forced to look for another player who plays for a national team.
According to Energy, players who play for their national teams get training from another coach which in turn add more to their professional career.
He also added that the new policy direction will also mean that they will sign “young players” who have the “quality” to play for the club.
