The management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, according to reports, has decided to stop naming the packages they will get to the players before matches.
According to the report, the management believes that the players are not able to give their best in big games when they hear the packages.
The players were promised over ₵5000 each before the second leg of their game against Etoile Sportive du Sahel in the CAF Champions League, however, they could not get the needed scoreline to make it to the next game of the competition.
The last promise the players were made was before their game against their arch-rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak. The Executive Chairman of the club, Dr Kwame Kyei promised to give the players ₵2, 000 each if they win the made and the players did not disappoint the Chairman at the end of the match.
The Post understands the decision was made after the management consulted psychologists and they told them the players are unable to concentrate on the game.
