Kumasi Asante Kotoko, according to reports will stop paying their players signing on fee when they sign a contract, as well as, their rent and utility bill at the end of the month.
According to the report, the decision is being considered by the Board of Directors of the club.
In Ghana, clubs pay players a huge sum of money for signing a contract to join the club and then pay them their monthly salary as well.
Some clubs, including Kotoko, go to the extent of renting a house for the players and also pay their utility bills at the end of every month.
The Post understands Kotoko want to spread their signing on fee and add it to the players’ monthly salary. This move, the board believes would increase the monthly salary of the players and make it easy to convince them to stay.
