Asante Kotoko management has planned to use the club’s legends to motivate the players this season.
The club would be competing in the CAF Champions League, Ghanaian Premier League and the FA Cup this season. The club has set its sight on the group stage of the Champions League and lifting the Premier League as well.
Now in other to motivate the players to do well this season, the club has decided to rely on its legends.
Since Kotoko won the Champions League in 1982, the club last played in the final again in 1992. In 2004/2005 season, Kotoko lost the maiden edition of the Confederation Cup to their arch-rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak. Since then, Kotoko’s best performance has been qualifying to the group stage of the both the Champions League and the Confederation Cup.
The club believes letting their legends meet with the players and telling them stories about how they use to conquer Africa would motivate the players to give their all for the club.
