Asante Kotoko’s request to wear black armbands and observe a minute’s silence during the Ghana Premier League match against Medeama has been approved by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
The request is in memory of former chairman Yaw Bawuah who passed away on Friday 14 January 2022 after a brief illness.
He was a brilliant football administrative asset not only to Asante Kotoko SC but to Ghana who achieved greatness for our game.

The late Yaw Barwuah led Kotoko to win their second CAF champions league trophy in 1983, beating Egyptian giants Al Ahly in the final.

Asante Kotoko who lead the Premier League table with 27 points host fourth-placed Medeama at the Baba Yara Sports stadium on Sunday.
