Yesterday, the Porcupine Warriors beat the Cameroonian giant 3-2 at the Military Stadium.
Kotoko opened the scoring in the 10th minute through Emmanuel Gyamfi before Maxwell Baakoh’s made it two in the 30th minute with a brilliant shot in the right corner of the Cotton Sport goalpost.
Baakoh after scoring his goal in the 30th minute gave away a penalty 9 minutes later. Cotton Sport captain, Dauda Kamilou pulled a goal back as he sent Felix Annan the wrong way.
Cotton Sport could not stand the pressure Kotoko was putting on them and in the 50th minute, Fatawu Safui intercepted a back pass and made it three.
Guema Araina pulled another goal back for the Cameroonian side in the 71st minute after a defensive error by the Kotoko defenders.
Cotton Sport will travel to Ghana this week to face the Porcupine Warriors in the second leg at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium this weekend.
