Kumasi Asante Kotoko, according to reports, made ₵5000 after deductions were made in their game against Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Only a handful of Asante Kotoko fans were at the stadium to watch their club play and some fans have described it as one of the worse attendance at the stadium.
The club has been calling on the fans to be at the stadium to watch their games for the club to get enough money to pay their players, however, the number of fans who go to the stadium keeps reducing.
While some fans have said their decision not to go to the stadium is due to how bad games are promoted, others are saying it is because they have lost interest in the league.
Kotoko has also been relying on the Virtual Seat Challenge which lets fans who are not able to go to the stadium send money to the club to get money on matchdays. But in their game against Berekum Chelsea, the club got less than ₵3000 from the challenge as only two supporters groups made payment to the group.
