Kotoko want to sign me – Yussif Mubarik

Former Ashanti Gold SC defender, Yusif Mubarak has confirmed reports that he has been contacted by Asante Kotoko.

Mubarak in an interview with Oyerepa FM said he has told Kotoko to talk to his manager and also stated that his contract with Ashanti Gold has ended.

“I have assured them [Kotoko] that I would play for them,” he said.

He further indicated that he has offers from clubs outside Ghana and if it was not the COVID-19 it is likely that he would not be in the country.

Mubarik who was being considered for the AFCON 2019 in Egypt became a target for Kotoko due to his height as he is also very good when it comes to air balls.
