The Spokesperson for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Sarfo Duku has said Kotoko will play with a big team to honour the Asantehene on his 20th Anniversary as the Asantehene.
As part of the celebration, the club announced they are looking for a club to play with to honour the owner of the club.

There were reports that Kotoko was going to play El Mokawloon El Arab, formerly called Arab Contractors, however, the management of the club denied that media report.
Sarfo Duku, in an interview monitored by The Post, said the contract is yet to be signed so he will not mention the name of the club they will be playing with.
Former captain of the club, Yussif Chipsah said on Kessben FM that he and his partners have reached an agreement with South African giant, Orlando Pirates, however, the Policy Analyst of Kotoko told him they have accepted a ‘better offer’ from Scheer Group who were reported to have been those arranging the game with El Mokawloon El Arab.
Last month, Kotoko announced that they “have withdrawn the mandate given to Scheer Group for the organisation of the Asantehene 20th Anniversary Cup match.”

Although it has not been confirmed, Kotoko is likely to play Orlando Pirates as they have already agreed to Pro Ball’s to play Kotoko in Kumasi.
