Kotoko’s defenders let the team down

Kotoko has been eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup after losing to Zesco United yesterday.

The Porcupine Warriors scored first in the 46th minute through Stephen Nyarko who came on in the second half with his first touch.

In the 53rd minute, Jackson Were equalized to make it 1-1. Were tapped the ball into the net as he was left unmarked in Kotoko’s 18-yard box.

In the 56th minute, Kondwani Mtonga made it two for the Zambian club. Mtonga scored from a rebound after he was also left unmarked after a free kick.

Kotoko joined Zesco to exit the group with 7 points while Al Hilal and Nkana FC qualified with 11 points and 9 points respectively.
