Members of the minority in parliament have expressed their displeasure with the sod cutting ceremony the President Nana Addo did in Kumasi for the second phase of Kumasi Airport project to start.
According to them, the sod has already been cut by former President, John Dramani Mahama so there is no need for Nana Addo to do it again.
MP for Adaklu, Kwame Abogya has described it has ‘a total waste of state resources, it is completely needless and it is much of complete heighten level of propaganda the NPP government has employed’.
The Honourable Member of Parliament also described it as a means to divert Ghanaians attention from the $30 billion loans within Ghana which they cannot account for. As a result, they are looking for ways to attach themselves to previous ‘success stories’.
The minority believes the project was given to the same contractor they gave the project to and do not understand why the government has to act like they are doing a new thing because the agreement was signed and the loan for the project had already been secured.
They have been criticizing the government for doing what they believe they did two years ago.
