Ghana’s Kwadwo Asamoah has finally confirmed his move to Inter Milan. The 29 year-old former Udinese midfielder will from next season wear the black and blue jersey.
Asamoah became a back up to Alex Sandro of Brazil, due to his versatile and tactical intelligence.
After 6 six years with over 150 appearance for the club, 6 Serie A, 3 Supercoppa Italiana and 4 Coppa Italia, the attacking midfielder turned defender signed for Juventus’ rivals Inter Milan.
If you think he made the wrong move, now is the time to change your mind.
Juventus midfield has been choked with the likes of Pjanic, Khedira, Matuidi, Bentacur, Dybala, Cuadrado, Stuararo, Marchisio, etc making his playing time limited but looking at Inter Milan’s squad in depth and their midfield with Vecino, Boja Valero, Perisic and a few players with not too good qualities unlike Juventus. Because he is versatile he can play in his favourite role as the No 10 playmaker or in the interior midfield No 8 because he is better than these midfielders Inter have got currently and his position will be cemented if he stays injury free. The competition in the Juventus team is very high and even if he is fit it wil be tough for him to be a starter.
Under Max Allegri, Juventus play 4-33 or 3-4-3 with steel in the midfield while Inter play 4-2-3-1 so it will be easy to get into Inter’s midfield than Juventus. Inter’s three midfielders behind their striker Icardi don’t pose the threat to make Asamoah a bench warmer unlike Juventus apart from Perisic on the right wing who is untouchable. Kwadwo will definitely play behind the striker or the left wing.
These are the tangible reasons he should switch from Juventus to Inter if it were to be for trophies he already got all the titles in Italy under his sleeves (Serie A, Copa Italia, Super Copa).
