Local media outlets are reporting that the owner of the high-rise building that collapsed in Nigeria’s commercial capital, Lagos, was killed in the accident.
Rescuers working at the site found the lifeless body of the project’s owner, one Olufemi Osibona late Thursday.
He was the owner of Fourscore Homes, the luxury apartment agency that was in charge of the collapsed project.
As of Thursday, November 4, 2021, the death toll stood at 36 whiles nine others have been found alive.
Over 50 people are believed to have been in the 21-storey facility when it came down on Monday.
The Lagos State government has inaugurated a board to probe the reasons for the accident.
