The management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko will soon write to the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to ask for a better television rights deal.
Per the contract the GFA has with broadcasting rights holder, Star Times, all the 18 Ghanaian Premier League clubs are to receive $15,000.
With two outstanding games remaining for Kotoko in the first round of the league, Kotoko has had all its 15 games shown live on Star Time’s cable TV channel, Adepa TV.
Also, data gathered by Kotoko management indicates Star Times get more views when Kotoko is playing a game.
According to the report, Kotoko would ask the GFA to give them more than $15,000 or they will not allow Star Times to show some of their matches.
