Mahama appoints acting Defence and Environment ministers following deadly helicopter crash

President John Dramani Mahama has directed the Finance Minister, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson to assume additional roles as the Minister for Defense and Lands and Natural Resources.

Also, the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah will take on the role of Acting Minister for Environment, Science and Technology. The announcement was made by the President’s spokesperson, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, in a press statement on Thursday, August 7.

This comes a day after the helicopter crash that killed both the Minister for Defense and Lands and Natural Resources and the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology on Wednesday, 6 August.
