Former President John Mahama wouldn’t qualify to be a cleaner in the New Patriotic Party, Nana Oteatuso Kokobeng II has observed.
The respected chief in an interview on the Wontumi Morning Show stated that despite Mr. Mahama having an experience as former Member of Parliament, Vice President and President, he doesn’t have the requisite skill to be a trained cleaner in the NPP.
“John Mahama wouldn’t even qualify to be a cleaner in the NPPP. He has been a former MP, Vice President and President but he won’t make the cut if we were choosing even a cleaner in the NPP”, Nana Oteatuso Kokobeng said.
His comments were in response to an earlier statement by the MP for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa who has come out to score the President Akufo-Addo’s government ‘F’ in its performance evaluation.
Nana Oteatuso Kokobeng maintained that John Mahama isn’t a person the NPP would hold in higher esteem.
The NDC MP mentioned that the actual score in the analysis of the fulfilled campaign promises of the ruling NPP Government stands at 13.6% but the opposition party decided to round the figure up to 14%.
According to him, “We observed that only 86 promises have been delivered out of the 631 and if you do the arithmetic and divide the 86 by the 631, what you will get is 13.6% and so we have been generous to gift them 14%; we added 0.4% to it by rounding the figure up”.
Adding that “We have supported our claim of the 631 promises made by the Akufo-Addo government to Ghanaians with page numbers from their manifesto where people can easily access them and do their own analysis. We expect the NPP to tell us that we lied about any of the promises we have highlighted in our press conference from their manifesto”.
