The death of former Vice President Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur has shocked his former President John Mahama.
Mahama after hearing about the death of his friend tweeted ‘Shocking! No! PK was only last Saturday actively involved in our party’s constituency elections in the Central Region. Very sad Friday!’
Amissah-Arthur’s successor, Dr Bawumia also tweeted ‘I received with shock and sadness the sudden death of my predecessor, His Excellency Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur, former Vice President of the Republic. He dutifully served our nation in the high offices of Governor of the Bank of Ghana and Vice President of the Republic.’
Dr Bawumia also described him as a ‘first class gentleman’.
Ghanaians have also taken to social media to express their shock upon hearing the death of former Vice President to send their condolence to the family of the late Paa Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur.
The first lady, Rebeca Akufo-Addo as well as the second lady, Samira Bawumia have all sent their condolence to the family of Mr Amissah-Arthur.
