Dr Okyere Addae Mensah, a lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology has described the number of candidates contesting with former President John Mahama for the NDC flagbearer race as a clear indication of how the NDC does not trust Mahama’s leadership.
According to him, about 10 people out of the 12 people who are challenging the former President to lead the NDC is “the best referendum on his tenure or his stewardship as the President of Ghana.”
Dr Addae Mensah also indicated that it is a clear indication that Mahama was a “terrible leader.”
“The number of people challenging the former President does not mean the NDC have people who can lead the party,” he explained, as not all of them are suitable to become the President of “this country”.
“They took instructions from you,” and if they are contesting you today, it is a clear indication of “a lack of succession plan in the party.”
Former KMA boss, Kojo Bonsu and former Ministers of State Spio Garbarh and Alban Bagbin are among the 10 people who worked under John Mahama but are now challenging him to lead the party.
