A tragic incident occurred in Buokrom, a community in the Ashanti Region, where a 30-year-old man named Sena met his untimely death by electrocution while attempting to climb a high-tension pole in search of crow eggs.
According to reports, the incident took place on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. A viral video shared by Angel TV on social media showed Sena climbing the high-tension pole seemingly without fear, in pursuit of crow eggs. Onlookers in the video could be heard cautioning him to be careful, expressing concern for his safety.
The warning escalated when Sena reached the top of the pole, but he proceeded with his expedition to retrieve the eggs. Tragically, the video captured the aftermath, showing Sena’s lifeless body on the ground, having suffered fatal burns from electrocution.
Reports indicate that the victim’s remains were transported to the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital mortuary for preservation. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers associated with attempting such risky activities, especially near high-tension electrical installations.
