Man drowns in a river at Adanse-Asokwa District

A man whose name has been given as Yaw and believed to be 27 years old has drowned in a river at Adanse Punso in Adanse-Asokwa District.

According to eyewitnesses, the incident happened when some residents in the area went to bury a resident in the area.

On the way from the cemetery, Yaw also known as Yaw Pohoo joined some people who were swimming in the river in a nearby river to clean himself. And by the time they realized, Yaw Pohoo was nowhere to be found.

A resident in the area said this is the second time he has witnessed such an incident.
He said whenever people go to the river to swim after going to bury someone, someone gets drown.
Some of the residents in the area are still searching for the body of the Yaw Pohoo.
