Man jailed 14 years for stealing a carpenter’s 14-inch TV

A 23-year old man has been jailed 14 years for stealing a 14-inch TV belonging to a carpenter called Evans Paintsil who lives at Assin Nyankomasi.

The 23-year old, Isaac Opare was sentenced to jail by the Assin Fosu District Court presided over by his Lordship, Gyane Quotey.

According to the prosecutor, Francis Onyinah, Opare stole the TV when Paintsil left home for the 31 December 2018 all cross over church service.

Opare pleaded guilty after he was arrested at his hideout at Assin Praso.

He was given the lengthy sentence due to his criminal history.
