A disagreement over a sachet of water reportedly led to the death of 24-year-old Yussif Alhassan, who was fatally stabbed. The incident occurred in Manso Moseasso, located in the Ashanti region, according to a report by Kumsi-based Fox FM.
Usman Alhassan, the brother of the deceased, recounted the incident on Fox FM’s Ewiase Ehu program on March 10, 2023. He stated, “On Sunday, I left town for Kumasi and later learned that around 1 or 2 pm, the guy said that he had purchased a bag of sachet water, and my brother went to take one to drink. So, it turned into an argument, and he stabbed him.”
Yussif Alhassan was rushed to Manso Hospital in the region, but unfortunately, he died shortly after arrival. The suspect has reportedly fled the town and gone into hiding.
Usman Alhassan further noted that the case has been referred to the Nkawie District Police Command for investigation.
