A man in Indiana, United States of American has sued his parents for destroying his porn collection worth an estimated $28, 940.72 according to WXMI TV.
The man, identified as “Charlie” had his collection destroyed after he moved in with his parents and stayed with them for 10 months while he was going through a divorce.
Charlie has sued his parents for $86, 822.16. The collection, according to the report includes more than 400 VHS tapes, over 1600 DVDs, 160-plus CDs, and 70 sex toys, according to the Detroit Free Press.
Charlie is said to have sent an email to his parents to express his displeasure with his parents after they destroyed his parents.
“If you had a problem with my belongings, you should have stated that at the time and I would have gone elsewhere. Instead, you choose to keep quiet and behave vindictively,” he said, according to ABC News.
According to the lawsuit, his father responded saying he was doing his son favour.
“Believe it or not, one reason for why I destroyed your porn was for your own mental and emotional heath,” he said. “I would have done the same if I had found a kilo of crack cocaine. Someday, I hope you will understand.”
Charlie found out his collection had been destroyed when he moved out of his parents’ house in Michigan.
A few months after moving out, his parents travelled to Indiana to drop off his belongings and that was when he found out his precious porn collection had been destroyed.
