Manchester United are doing everything possible to sign their formal player, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ronaldo has been linked with a move to United’s rivals Manchester City in the past few days as his manager, Jorge Mendes has been in contact with them.
Mendes has reportedly also been in contact with Manchester United albeit City and Ronaldo have reached a verbal agreement. City has not made an official bid to Juventus for the 5-times Ballon d’Or winner.
Though some United players have cross the carpet and joined City, United coach Solksjaer in an interview said “when you play for Manchester United, you don’t go to Man City.”
Ronaldo signed for Manchester United from Portuguese club Sporting CP in 2003. He won the Ballon D’or, 1 Champions League, 3 Premier League titles, 1 FA Cup, 2 League Cups, 1 Community Shield and 1 FIFA Club World Cup during his six-year stay at the club. He scored 118 goals in 292 games before joining Real Madrid.
