Manhyia secures sponsorship deal for Kotoko – report

Reports in the media indicates that the owner of Asante Kotoko, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has secured a sponsorship deal for his club.

According the report, the mining company, Newmont is in an advanced negotiation with the club and an official announcement will be made soon.

This year, Newmont Africa signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Asantehene’s Foundation, therefore, the reports that the company will be sponsoring the Asantehene’s club does not come as a surprise.

Also, there are reports that telecommunication company, MTN will be sponsoring the club again.

The company has a good relationship with Asantehene and it was the club’s main sponsor until they parted ways three years ago.
