The Executive Chairman of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Kwame Kyei’s dream of building a stadium for the club will see the light of the day as reports reaching The Post indicates that Manhyia Palace will assist the club financially, as well as, any other means in building the stadium.
Videos circulating on social media shows work being down at Kotoko’s Adako Jachie training facility. The club has started building a wall for the stadium which is part of the first phase of the project.
At the moment, the capacity of the stadium is not known and the time it will take for the project to be completed is also not clear.
Kotoko has been using the Baba Yara Sports Stadium for decades, however, the club and the fans feel it would better to have their stadium so that he can put an end to the huge money they pay to the National Sports Authority before they can use the stadium.
