The coach of Asante Kotoko, Maxwell Konadu has, according to reports, saved the club from being reported to FIFA by the owner of Thunder FC, Alhaji Nash.
Last week, Alhaji said in an interview on Oyerepa FM that he will report Kotoko to the football governing body for failing to pay for his player Imoro Ibrahim.
Although he confirmed that he has received a letter from Kotoko explaining why the club cannot sanction the payment of the player at the moment, Alhaji Nash said Kotoko has lied to him as they failed to fulfill their promise.
In the letter Kotoko sent to Alhaji Nash which was signed by the CEO of Kotoko, George Amoako, Kotoko stated that due to the Professor Lydia Nkansah-led-committee which has been set up by Manhyia to investigate the affairs of the club, they cannot pay for the transfer of Imoro.
Alhaji stated emphatically that he would report Kotoko to FIFA for failing to pay his club, Thunder FC.
However, The Post understands that Maxwell Konadu has been able to calm Alhaji Nash down after calling to tell him how important Imore Ibrahim is to the team and the plans he has for the player.
