In a surprising disclosure, Prophet Isaac Kofi Agyiri, the leader and founder of True Lamp Worship Centre situated in Danis, Buduburam in the Central region, has been imposed a fine of GH¢50,000 for impregnating another man’s wife.
The woman involved in this incident is Janet Baah Opoku, reportedly the former fiancée of the self-proclaimed man of God.
According to a report from rainbowradioonline.com, Janet Baah Opoku had been secretly involved in a relationship with her ex-lover despite being married for over 15 years.
The revelation of her pregnancy came to light during a ceremony held by Janet and her estranged husband, Ebenezer Baah’s families, to dissolve their marriage. It was during this event that it was discovered that Janet Baah Opoku was pregnant. When questioned about ending her marriage while carrying her husband’s child, she shockingly revealed that the child belonged to Prophet Isaac Kofi Agyiri and not her husband. In response, her family summoned the alleged man of God to address the allegations. Surprisingly, Prophet Isaac Kofi Agyiri admitted his responsibility when he appeared before the family.
Consequently, he was fined GH¢50,000 by the family and was required to purchase a sheep and whisky as a form of restitution for impregnating a married woman. However, it was reported that the prophet declined to fulfill the family’s demands and challenged them to take whatever action they deemed necessary.
Subsequently, the case was reported to the police and eventually brought before the Awutu Breku District Court, presided over by her Worship Naomi Kontor. The court ordered the man of God to pay the fine within two weeks or face appropriate punishment after he pleaded guilty to impregnating someone else’s wife. It is worth mentioning that the couple, Janet Baah Opoku and her estranged husband, have three children together.
