Director of Operations for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Isaac Donkor popularly called Perusha has said his job at Kotoko is not to sprinkle water on the pitch.
In an interview monitored by The Post, Perusha said his work is about “hard work and good organisation” and nothing about the sprinkling of water as he believes in only “God.”
There have been calls for Perusha to be punished by the Normalisation Committee for his actions, however, Perusha said he should rather be “rewarded” for this work.
Those calling for his punishment believe the water contains concoctions that fight against Kotoko’s opponents.
“There is nothing in the water,” he said.
“It is not my style to sprinkle water but we know how to do our work.”
He added that he does not know why he should be punished as there is no “mistake” in what he has been doing.
