Whenever Anas gives a hint that he is about to release a new documentary, Ghanaians begin to wonder who will be going to jail after the video is released. This year on June 6, Anas and his Tiger Eye PI team released a documentary on corruption in African football which shook the continent to the extent that Kwesi Nyantakyi, who was the Vice President of CAF had to resign from his position after he was seen making deals in the video.
Anas after the release of the video was criticized by some people as they believe he uses ‘entrapment’ to name and shame his victims after they have refused to pay a bribe.
While speaking at the TPF National Media Festival in Takoradi last Friday, Anas said: “people have called number 12 names, and also described its impact in many forms, but I can tell you, if anybody thought number 12 was hot, what is coming will be fire” without indicating what the video is about.
Anas also questioned those who have been criticizing this modus operandi.
“How does anybody expect me to carry my long camera, enter an office and say, I have prima facie evidence against you, talk to me?”
“Am not going to stop this job, I will use the same methods until we are collectively able to eliminate or at least reduce corruption it considerably,” he added.
Until the recent criticisms he received for his style of work, Anas has been praised by lots of people including former UN Secretary General, Kofi Annan and former US President, Barrack Obama.
