The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has lifted the ban on football.
He made the announcement during his 17th address to the nation on the measures the government has taken to stop the spread of the Coronavirus in Ghana.
Nana Addo stated that upon broader consultation with the Ghana Football Association, the Ghana Premier League and the Division One League will start on 13 October.
He further indicated that the players will be tested for Coronavirus and no fans will be allowed to go to the players’ training centres.
Adding, he also said only 25% of spectators will be allowed to the stadium when the ban on fans is lifted and the wearing of nose masks will be made compulsory at the stadia.
