Eric Kwasi Taylor who was a 2019 NDC Parliamentary aspirant and a member of the party’s campaign team for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa constituency has been beaten by some members of the party’s during a walk.
Taylor in an interview on Kessben FM said the men who beat him said their constituency chairman told them to beat him because he is always causing trouble.
Taylor, however, said he does not know the troubles he has been causing but he knows that he is always telling the truth which some people do not like.
He added that he has been accused by some of his party members for supporting the NPP Parliamentary candidate in the constituency.
According to Taylor, he saw his attackers with the Chairman and the NDC parliamentary candidate before they attacked him.
He further added that one of his attackers has vowed to testify that the Chairman gave them the order should the incident go to court.
Taylor who said he is the party’s main financier in the constituency also revealed in the interview that he is the nephew of NPP’s Paul Collins Appiah Ofori, therefore, he is considering defecting to the NPP because he has done all for the NDC yet they do not appreciate his efforts.
He told Kessben FM he has reported the incident to the police.
