English football is preparing for a return and the FA Cup is set to resume on June 27, with the final pencilled in for August 1.
The tournament is at the quarter-final stage, so Leicester City vs Chelsea, Newcastle vs Manchester City, Sheffield United vs Arsenal and Norwich City vs Manchester United should be played on the weekend of June 27.
Then, the semi-finals would be held on July 18 and 19, ahead of the final.
“We are pleased to agree the provisional restart date for the FA Cup,” FA chief executive Mark Bullingham said.
“The competition has been an integral part of the English football calendar for nearly 150 years and we’d like to thank the Premier League executive and clubs for their support in scheduling the remaining matches during this unprecedented time.”
