On October 10, 2018, Nigeria and Libya will lock horns as both teams seek to qualify for the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Adel Amrouche, the coach of the Libya national team with a month before the game has said he is not afraid of the Super Green Eagles of Nigeria.
In his post-match interview after their goalless draw against South Africa yesterday, Adel Amrouche said “Believe me I prefer to play Nigeria than South Africa because I have the experience to play against them. South Africa is a fantastic team and has fantastic players and it’s not easy to play against them.”
According to him, while his side believes in God, the 2013 AFCON winners believe in juju which he is not afraid of.
“For me, I’m ready for Nigeria; if they want we can play both games in Nigeria; they believe in juju and we believe in God,” Amrouche said.
Libya is leading their group with 4 points on goal difference followed by South Africa also with 4 points.
Their next opponent, Nigeria is a point behind after they lost to South by 2-0 in Nigeria in their first game.
