Some students of Juaben Senior High School were last week rushed to the hospital. Although no students lost his or her life, earlier reports indicated that there was an outbreak of a disease in the school.
Contrary to the earlier report that there was an outbreak in the school, reports now indicate it is not an outbreak.
Instead, the students go to the hospital with different health problems. Some of the students who were taken to the hospital were diagnosed with malaria, ulcer, among others.
The reason for the earlier outbreak reports came about because of the number of students who took their friends to the hospital. Instead of taking one or two people taking a student to the hospital, sometimes five or more students follow a sick friend to the hospital and as a result, some people got the idea that there has been a disease outbreak in the school.
Teachers are calling on students and parents to remain calm as there is no such thing as an outbreak in the school.
