The Normalization Committee (NC), The Post has gathered will extend Black Stars coach, Kwasi Appiah’s contract before the CAF African Cup of Nations.
Kwasi Appiah was given a two-year contract when he became the coach of the national team again in April 2017.
At the time the contract was signed, the tournament was still scheduled to start in January 2019, however, since it will now start in June this year, the NC has decided to extend Appiah’s contract as it will end before the start of the competition.
Though no official statement has been released by the NC, there are reports that Appiah might get either a one or two-year contract extension.
Appiah who was first appointed as the coach of the Black Stars in 2012 left his position when the Black Stars exited the 2014 World Cup and was replaced by Avram Grant.
In joined Al Khartoum in 2014 until his reappointment in 2017.
