Obuasi residents threaten to demonstrate against the President

Some residents of Anwia Nkwanta, Dunkwa and Obuasi are threatening to demonstrate against Nana Addo when he tours Ashanti region later in the month.

The residents are not happy with the state of the roads in the area.

According to the residents, during the President’s last state of the nation address, the president stated that he was going to fix the road but nothing has been done about it.

Traders who sell along the roadside have been forced to stop trading as the dust from the road has become unbearable.

Although it is not known if Nana Addo will go to the area when he visits the region, the residents on the other hand have issued a warning that should the president come to the area, they will demonstrate against him as he has not been able to fulfill his promise to them.
