Former Real Madrid Castilla and Ghanaian defender, Daniel Opare has once again made his intentions of playing in the English Premier League clear after joining Belgian club Royal Antwerp from Augsburg in Germany.
Opare, 27, believes his new club will help him get in top shape and eventually move to England if he gets the chance.
“When Luciano D’Onofrio phoned me and told me about the Antwerp project, I was immediately enthusiastic. Look at the stadium, the training infrastructure. Okay, it’s a different level than in Germany, for example, but it’s great,” he said.
“Together with the club, I want to develop myself further, I want to get along, prove myself and then probably leave, that’s how it goes in today’s football. The Premier League remains a dream,” he added.
The former Ashanti Gold and FC Porto player has played two games since joining his new club after joining the Belgian club as a free agent.
