The Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party, Bernard ‘Chairman Wontumi’ Antwi-Boasiako has asked John Mahama and the NDC not to add the Kejetia Market to his list of projects when campaigning for the 2020 election.
Chairman Wontumi said on an interview on Angel FM that ‘Mahama does not know what he is saying’, he said.
“The project was done by our King Otumfuo Osei Tutu Krobea Kotokohene,” he said.
“Napo, Kokofu, Isaac Osei and Elizabeth Agyemang are ones who signed the deal for the project to start.”
“Was it not Mahama who said if he uses gold to construct the roads in Kumasi we won’t like it?”
Wontumi also accused Mahama of ignoring Ashanti Region “simply because they belong for the New Patriotic Party.”
He also asked the former president to check his records if he thinks he has a hand in the newly built Kejetia Market in Kumasi.
