Some Menzgold customers in the Ashanti Region are asking the Asantehene to save them.
On Tuesday, some customers of the embattled gold dealing firm demonstrated in front of the company’s office at Asafo in Kumasi.
The demonstrators burnt tires in front of Menzgold’s office before the police came to disperse them.
Some of the demonstrators were seen holding placards asking the Asantehene for help with one of them having the inscription ‘Otumfuo save us’.
The police arrested some of the aggrieved customers involved in the demonstration but later released them.
Residents in the Ashanti lashed out at the demonstrators as the president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was going to pass through that area on that day.
The demonstrators, however, denied embarking on the demonstration to disrupt the president’s visit to the region.
