Our target is to qualify – C.K Akonnor

The coach of Kotoko, C.K Akonnor has said Kotoko’s game against Zesco United is a ‘must win’ match.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, Akonnor said their target is to qualify to the next stage of the competition, therefore ‘they don’t want to talk about’ losing the game.

Also, he added that “God will deliver” them tomorrow to take them to the next stage.

When asked if Zesco’s current bad performance is to their advantage, he said that before played Nakana FC, their was not the best yet they won the game 3-1.

“We are aware of that [Zesco’s performance] but we don’t want to think about that because that will shift our focus.”

He explained that they want to focus on the game rather than the performance of the opponent.
