Over 900 young footballers were at Asante Kotoko’s Adako Jachie training ground yesterday to play in the justifier for the start of the club’s youth team.
Some players arrived as early as 8:00 AM and the event started after 9 AM after the club’s CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah gave a speech.
The young players added their passport photos to forms given to them by the club to fill and there are reports that not everyone got some of the forms. As it stands, those who did not get the forms will have to wait till the club starts another justifier.
The event will end on the 20th of this month and those who will be selected will go through another selection process until the club get the number of players they want.
So far, the club has not stated the number of players they are going to select.
