Arsenal and Germany star, Mesut Ozil has quit international, citing racism as the main reason behind his retirement.
The 29-year old German with Turkish ancestry was criticized vehemently before the just ended World Cup for meeting and taking a picture with Turkish President, Erdogan.

In a series of messages posted on Twitter, Ozil talked about how he has been racially abused, about his Turkish ancestry and his intentions for the future.
The former Real Madrid star played 92 games scoring 23 goals for Germany and played an integral part of the team that won the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
