A pastor has been banished from Berekum in the Brong Region for disrespecting the traditional authorities.
According to the report, Apostle Prophet Dr. Owusu Kwakye has buried black magic at the Berekum Berlin junction which is believed to be his source of spiritual strength. According to the report, whenever an accident occurs at the place where he buried the black magic and the person dies, the number of his church members increases.
Apostle Kwakye failed to pay the traditional priest who did the magic for him and as a result of the priest, Nana Takumba went for his car. Apostle Kwakye also reported Nana Takumba to the police and he was arrested.
Nana Takumba reported Kwakye to the traditional authorities when he was released, and Kwakye was summoned to the palace.
Kwakye confessed he has indeed buried the juju and pleaded with the traditional authorities to forgive him. Kwakye was asked to bring 12 sheep to be used to pacify the gods while Nana Takumba was told to bring 3 sheep for helping him with the black magic.
The two were given two weeks to bring the sheep for the sacrifice.
After the two weeks, Kwakye failed to show up and he informed the traditional authorities that he is a man of God so he will not give them the sheep to pacify their gods.
The traditional authorities got angry, held a press conference, and announced the pastor has been banished from the town and is not supposed to hold any church service or any activity in the area.
According to the traditional authorities, their decision to banish Apostle Prophet Dr Owusu Kwakye was based on the by-laws of the town.
