The Bibiani Police, headed by Superintendent Seth Sewornu, recently carried out an operation to destroy several ‘wee ghettos’ in the Bibiani municipality of the Western North Region in Ghana. The operation was part of the police’s efforts to rid the area of criminals and improve the safety of the community.
Bibiani has been identified as one of the hideouts for criminals who have been contributing to the area’s increasing criminal records. The police have taken a keen interest in the activities of those involved in the escalating crime in the area and have been working to flush them out.
As part of their efforts, the police destroyed several ‘wee ghettos’ in Old Town, Attakrom, and Nantwikumye, all located in the Bibiani Anhweaso-Bekwai municipality in the Western North Region. Although no arrests were made during the operation, the police stated that they will continue their activities until all ‘wee ghettos’ in the municipality are collapsed.
The police received commendations from residents in Bibiani, who appreciated the effort to make their community a safer place to live. They urged the police to continue with the destruction of ‘wee ghettos’ and other criminal hideouts in the area to improve the security of the community.
