A police officer [name withheld] at Old Tafo in Kumasi has threatened to kill his 25-year old girlfriend after she broke his heart.
According to the report, the young girl told the police officer she was going to visit his family at Suame also in Kumasi.
The police officers, however, met his girlfriend having a conversation with another lady at Tafo.
The police officer, who according to sources is 59 years old approached his girlfriend and asked what she was doing at Tafo.
This turned into an argument and the police officer, according to eyewitnesses threatened to kill the young lady.
The girl broke up with the police officer while the argument was going on and the police officer is said to the lost control of himself afterwards.
The police were called to the scene and the officer was taken to their station to prevent further embarrassment.
