The winner of the President’s Cup which will be played on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium will get ₵30, 000, The Post can confirm.
The loser of the game which will be played between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak will also get ₵20, 000.
But before we get to know who will win the trophy, each club will be given ₵100, 000, therefore the winner of the match will walk away with ₵130, 000.
This is the first-time organizers of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GhaLCA) will be given the winner and loser such a ‘huge’ amount of money.
Gold and silver medals will also be given to the winner and losers respectively.
Last year, the President’s Cup was not organized due to Anas Amereyaw Anas’ expose on corruption in Ghana and African football.
Hearts of Oak has not beaten Kotoko in their last four games with two being friendly matches.
Kotoko beat their arch-rivals 3-0 in Tamale after which they again won in a two-legged friend match in Accra and Kumasi.
In their last game, Kotoko beat Hearts on penalties in the Normalization Committee’s Tier One Cup semi-final in Accra after the game ended 1-1.
In the last edition which was played in 2017, Kotoko won 4-1 on penalties.
While Kotoko has been tipped to win the game, some people believe Hearts will win the game as Kotoko has a game in the CAF Champions League against Tunisian club, Etoile Sportive du Sahel.
