President of Liberia, George Oppong Weah, last night played his last match for the country against Nigeria at Samuel Kayoon Doe Sports Complex in Monrovia.

The Lone Stars lost 2-1 in a match which was used to honour for 1995 Balon d’Or winner to retire his famous number 14 shirt.
Weah played 75 minutes while former Liberia international James Debbah also started the match.
Nigeria’s Onyekuru opened the scoring in the 11th minute after to set the stadium alive from John Ogu’s pass. In the 33rd minute, Nwankwo made it two from Etebo’s corner kick.
Liberia got a penalty kick after President Weah was substituted in the closing stages after Semi Ajayi was adjudged to have handed the ball in the 18-yard area.
Weah, 51, succeeded Ellen Johnson Sirleaf after he defeated Joseph Boakai in last year’s elections to become the 24th President.
