While some traditional priests and priestess are pulling thousands of dollars, pounds and cedis from pots and other items, one priestess, on the other hand, is on the run for stealing GHC 1,300.00 from her Linguist, Gideon Yaw Gyamfi, popularly called Ayewa.
The priestess, Okomfo Mary, has been working at Manso Nkorasa for a long time and has also been working with Ayewa for about 2 years.
Okomfo Mary asked Ayewa to lend her some money. Mary then told Ayewa to give her his mobile money PIN because Ayewa looked drunk so that she can redraw the money.
Ayewa refused to give mobile money PIN to her but Mary somehow saw him entering the PIN on his phone.
Ayewa after realizing he was not getting network on his phone later found out someone had blocked his sim, replaced it with a new one and cashed out all his money.
Upon further investigations, he found out it was Okomfo Mary who had done that.
Okomfo Mary, however, has not denied doing that but she did indicate that she did it because Ayewa owes her.
She has also refused to pay the money although the incident has been reported to the Chief of the area.
Okomfo Mary for some weeks now has been on the run albeit she claims to be taking care of someone at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
Ayewa has vowed to use any means he can to collect his money because Okomfo Mary already owes him GHC 400.
